Sculptor, Victor Kahill, first took up photography before he began sculpting. He travelled around southern Maine and photographed scenic views.

For this photograph he stood in a field near Stone Road, off Hio Ridge Road, in 1919 to snap this black and white photograph of Pleasant Mountain and Moose Pond. Image may be viewed in Denmark Historical Society’s collection. Photographer, Richard J. Snow, digitized the image for the Historical Society in July 2021.
