Denmark, Maine is a small, rural community in southwestern Maine, near Pleasant Mountain, the Saco River, many lakes, ponds, streams, and forests.
Denmark Historical Society was organized in 1989 to coordinate efforts of citizens who demonstrated an interest the history of Maine; and wished to encourage broad participation in preservation and enjoyment of Denmarkâs rich heritage.
Specifically, its goals are to collect and preserve memorabilia, records, documents, and images relating to Denmark.
Our archives are located at Denmark Public Library.
We cannot move forward without active participation from the community. Consider becoming a member or a volunteer.
We invite you to visit our website often, as content is continuously added.
