Denmark, Maine is a small, rural community in southwestern Maine, near Pleasant Mountain, the Saco River, and its many lakes, ponds, streams, and woodlands.
Denmark Historical Society was organized in 1989 to collect and preserve memorabilia, records, documents, and images relating to Denmark; and wished to encourage broad participation in preservation and enjoyment of Denmark’s rich heritage.
Our archives are located at Denmark Public Library.
We cannot move forward without participation from the community. Consider becoming a sponsor, a member or a volunteer.
We invite you to visit our website often, as content is continuously added and updated.
We welcome your query if you are researching Denmark or your family’s history.
